PTFE’s non-stick nature makes it difficult to bond, but etching solves this by chemically treating the surface to create a lightly textured, high-energy layer that adhesives can grip. While the treated surface may turn light brown, the core properties of PTFE, such as thermal stability and chemical inertness, remain intact.
